Niranjan Iyenger, the dialogue writer for films like Madhur Bhandarkar's FASHION, Karan Johar's KABHI ALVIDA NA KEHNA and KAL HO NA HO, was once a dedicated dialogue writer for the Bhatt camp with films like JISM, ROG, PAAP etc. But now Niranjan has turned lyricist and has written two outstanding "sufi" based compositions for Karan Johar's MY NAME IS KHAN. The lyrics have already been put to tunes and as per a very reliable film personality who has had the privilege of listening to them, they are simply awesome. Both the songs will be used in the background.

Ghajini not a Momento Remake says Aamir Khan
Refusing all the allegations that GHAJINI is a remake of the Hollywood hit MOMENTO, Aamir says, ' GHAJINI is not a remake or even slightly inspired by Hollywood flick MEMONTO, but it's a remake of Tamil film GHAJINI. Eighty per cent of the film is a remake of Tamil version, while the climax for the Hindi version has been changed a bit because the director wanted it to look fresh.'
Talking about GHAJINI, Aamir Khan says, 'Its after a long sabbatical, I am doing an action film. After SARFAROSH (1999) I have not done any action film. The phase of action films had faded in the last couple of years so I hope with GHAJINI I can re–start the trend of out and out action films again.'
Aamir has not been promoting his GHAJINI co-star, debutant, Asin. In this regards he states, 'Asin is a surprise package and a wonderful person. She will surprise audiences with her beauty, charm and performance.'
Aamir has built an eight pack abs for the film and for that he went through a religious training. When asked will he be going Salman way and do away with his shirts in his films, he laughingly says, 'Salman is too sweet, he is the one who has actually started showing his physique. Hrithik Roshan's New Film Kites Shooting Paused
Rakesh Roshan's international venture starring his son Hrithik Roshan has been surrounded with controversy ever since the first day.
The production for Kites has been continuously stopping for several reasons. One of the major reasons was when the cinematographer of the film left the film halfway and left Rakesh Roshan and his crew running haywire searching for a new cinematographer.
The most recent shock to Rakesh Roshan was from the line producer of the film. Rakesh Roshan has not only fired his line producer for the film in Miami, but is also contemplating legal action against him.
Reports reveal that the unit was scheduled to film in Miami for a period of 15 days. However, due to the line producer's erratic behavior, the shooting could not be completed and a crew of over 70 people had to wait aimlessly in Miami for 10 days.
Rakesh Roshan is currently working on hiring a new line producer and revisiting Miami with his crew to complete the shooting that was left unfinished.

Oscar Library Requests for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi Script for Its Collection
This is not happening for the first time for Yash Raj Films, but it has obviously has happened the fastest. Barely a day after the release of RAB NE BANA DI JODI that the Oscar library had made a request for the script for its permanent collection in its library. The sensitivity of the screenplay and the unusual love story attracted the attention of the staff at the library right away.
The scripts in the collection reside at the Margaret Herrick Library and are made accessible for research purposes only; for students, filmmakers, writers and actors are among the regular patrons. Screenplays may only be viewed in the library; they dont get circulated. And also, no screenplay is allowed to be photocopied.
The invitation is recognition that the screenplay of RAB NE BANA DI JODI stands out from the crowd – not just among Indian movies but movies released worldwide. As the movie goes from strength to strength at the box office, it is a tribute to the entire team whose passion, hard work and sheer creative onus, made the film such a refreshing change of pace for jaded audiences.

So, the time has come for the Aamir Khan Starrer Big Movie Ghajini.
Ghajini is the remake of Tamil hit film Ghajini. The Tamil version was inspired by Christopher Nolan's western Hit Memento (2000).
Ghajini is a romantic action thriller that explores the life of a once-rich businessman (Aamir Khan) who suffers from short term memory loss following a violent encounter. He only has a memory of the last 15 mins . Parts of the film were shot in the Deadpan Desert of Namibia and in Cape Town, South Africa.
Directed by A. R. Murugadoss, The film's main story is inspired from Memento directed by Christopher Nolan. Sanjay Singhania (Aamir Khan), is a rich businessman who owns a cellular phone company named Air Voice and the events surrounding his relationship with Kalpana (Asin Thottumkal).
Kalpana, an advertisement model goes around telling her advertisement crew that she is the love interest of Sanjay. She does this in spite of she never having met him and also goes to the extent of giving an interview about her relationship to a popular magazine. Sanjay happens to hear about this through the media and wants to settle scores with her. On his way, he catches a fleeting glimpse of a young woman (who happens to be Kalpana) helping handicapped children to cross a street. It is love at first sight for Sanjay. He moves on to confront Kalpana at her advertisement studio. He is pleasantly surprised to realize that she is the same helpful woman he saw a while ago. He chooses to hide the fact from her that he is Sanjay, calling himself as Manohar. Kalpana eventually falls in love with him.
Once, while on a train to Mumbai, Kalpana saves a group of young girls from abuse by a group of goons led by Lakshman (Pradeep Rawat). After a few days, the same goons come to Kalpana's house in order to avenge their embarrassment. Incidentally, Sanjay arrives at the scene and fights off the goons, but during the ensuing fight, Kalpana is murdered. The irony showcased is that Kalpana never finds out that he is Sanjay. Lakshman then strikes the downcast Sanjay on his head severely with a metal rod. Sanjay survives the blow, but acquires anterograde amnesia because of the trauma of his brain injury. At any given time, he does not remember anything that happened more than 15 minutes back, although he frequently has flashbacks of Kalpana's murder. He determines to take revenge on those responsible for Kalpana's death. The rest of the story is about how Sanjay, along with a medical college student Sunita (Jiah Khan), goes about finding Lakshman and the goons.

Meet the New Action Girl - Jiah Khan in Ghajini
With a lot of Pretty young things in Bollywood turning to action, the hardcore action loving audience can now feast on some beauty with action, which a few decades ago was the domain of handsome, macho heroes and the rugged villains.
The most recent phenomenon was the former Miss World Priyanka Chopra, who wowed the audience as well as the King Khan's heart with her superb action sequences in DON–THE CHASE BEGINS. However, she was not so successful despite some superbly crafted action sequences in DRONA. The dusky beauty says that it was tough doing action sequences and she had to shed a lot of weight and had to be physically fit so as to carry out the action scenes with conviction.

The response that this initiative generated has been beyond the expectations of even the makers of the film, as can be judged by the statistics that reveal that more than 3 million downloads of the film's promos have already been made from the websites. Now that's an unheard of number, especially for a mainstream film which in fact is being promoted as an international venture by its backers Warner Bros.

Sony Pictures distributing RAAZ - The Mystery Continues
The Much awaited sequel of the hit film RAAZ. In a formal announcement, it has been declared that the global giant, SONY Pictures Entertainment India will be distributing RAAZ – THE MYSTERY CONTINUES. The film has been produced by one of the biggest names in Bollywood; Vishesh Films with major music label SONY BMG. It will be SONY BMG's first Bollywood film venture. RAAZ TMC is one of the most anticipated releases of the next year 2009 and will be release in cinemas from 23rd January 2009 onwards.
SONY Pictures has already a established name in the global scene, with films like SPIDERMAN, THE DAVINCI CODE, CASINO ROYALE and the recent QUANTUM OF SOLACE on their names. They have also been in the Bollywood scene with SAAWARIYA. With regards to RAAZ TMC, they will be the theatrical distributors for the Indian region.
Mohit Suri is directing Raaz - The Mystery Continues, with Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman in the cast.

While Bollywood with its spate of thrillers and horror films, RAAZ – THE MYSTERY CONTINUES promises to be a breakthrough in this genre with not just the storyline but also the film techniques, performances and soundtrack. These expectations only get heightened with the fact that the film comes from the Vishesh Films and SONY BMG stables. The deal with SPE for distribution now definitely ups the value of the entire project.
SONY Pictures has already a established name in the global scene, with films like SPIDERMAN, THE DAVINCI CODE, CASINO ROYALE and the recent QUANTUM OF SOLACE on their names. They have also been in the Bollywood scene with SAAWARIYA. With regards to RAAZ TMC, they will be the theatrical distributors for the Indian region.
Mohit Suri is directing Raaz - The Mystery Continues, with Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman in the cast.

Rab ne Bana Di Jodi Movie Reviews and Rating
Rab ne Bana di Jodi has been a long awaited movie by Shahrukh Khan. The Movie is realeasing on friday, 12th December. Its opening in most of the multiplexes and single screen theatres. The reviews and ratings of this movie is worth reading.
Aditya Chopra is Director of Rab ne Bana Di Jodi, Produced by Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra. The film is distributed by Yash Raj Films. The cast of the movie goes like this

The story of the movie goes something like this.
Surinder Sahni (Shahrukh Khan), a man working for Punjab Power, who falls in love with Taani (Anushka Sharma) the flamboyant, fun-loving, vivacious girl for whom the whole world is her canvas and she paints her own life with the colours of rainbow all until unforeseen circumstances changes it all and brings them together. They get married and lead a not-so happy life due to huge age difference between Surinder and Taani. Taani, meanwhile, wants to participate in a reality dance show called "Dancing Jodi," which is the main backdrop of the movie. The dance contest showcases couples of all races, colours, backgrounds and sexual preferences. Taani wants to take part for the show, but she is not able to due to her husband's lack of fashion statement. Later on when Surinder finds out about his wife's wish to participate in the reality dance show, he undergoes a major change. Taani keeps falling in love with her changed husband.
